少年附添人

弁護士の業務の中で，あまり知られていないかもしれませんが，少年附添人という業務があります。

２０歳以下の少年が，犯罪行為を行ったときは，成人の刑事手続ではなく，家庭裁判所にて，審判が行われ，少年院に送致するのかなどの少年の処遇を決定することになります。

このような事件を「少年事件」と言い，弁護士は，この手続き内において，少年や家族と会って，環境を調整したり，裁判所の調査官と会って，少年の状況や気持ちを説明したり，少年の気持ちを代弁したり，裁判官に意見書を提出したりします。
